I haven’t really been keeping up with Donald Trump since his White House departure. Last I heard he was planning to run for President again in the 2024 election. Other than the normal lawsuits and investigations, I haven’t really followed his latest.

Among one of the many lawsuits was one filed by American journalist E. Jean Carroll. Carroll filed a second lawsuit against Trump in 2022, alleging battery and defamation, after New York enacted the Adult Survivors Act, which allows adult survivors of sexual violence to sue over attacks that occurred decades ago.

New Anti-Slavery Resolution to the 13th Amendment Could End Forced Prison Labor

The 13th Amendment states that a person convicted of a crime can be forced to work involuntary as punishment.

Unfortunately, this loophole in the amendment has created a systemic pipeline in which mostly Blacks and brown groups are convicted and imprisoned for even petty crimes & made to perform prison labor which is essentially, re-enslavement.

The new law amendment, spearheaded by Missouri House representative William Lacy Clay, is heavily co-signed by Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) as well as MA & MD senators.

This year’s election is probably one of the most crucial elections possibly of our lifetime.

With 40 million people/families unemployed, political unrest and lack of proper leadership within government & our democracy as a whole at stake it is imperative that we lift our voices at the polls to elect change. We can’t afford to sit home.
