Rapper Nelly Arrested On Felony Drug And Gun Charges In Tennessee

nellyarrestedAccording to Fox News, Nelly (rapper) was pulled over by the police in “Ten-a-key” (that’s Tennessee for all of you non-hood-non-southerners) last night/early this morning and arrested on several charges, both felonies and misdemeanors.

The charges range from gun possession and drug (marijuana, meth) possession –to anything else the cops could pin on him.

My question here is why the meth? I wasn’t aware that meth was even remotely a drug of choice within the hip hop community, apparently I don’t know much!

Leader Of The Bloods Street Gang Sentenced To 12 Life Sentences + 105 Years In Prison

Ronald Herron, known by the street name “Ra Diggs” was sentenced to 12 life sentences.

Ronald Herron was sentenced Thursday to 12 terms of life in prison plus 105 years. The leader of the Bloods street gang, he was convicted in June 2014 on charges of racketeering, murder in aid of racketeering, narcotics trafficking, robbery and firearms offenses. Herron’s division of the Bloods was active throughout New York City, primarily in the Gowanus and Wyckoff Gardens areas of Brooklyn.

“For years, Ronald Herron unleashed brutal, unrelenting violence on his community while glorifying his criminal lifestyle as a crack-dealing gangster. Today’s sentence put an end to all of that, for good,” U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch said in a statement.

“Herron styled himself a rap artist, but the evidence proved that he was a murderous thug who sought power through violence, fear, and intimidation,” she continued. “Let today’s sentence send a message to other gang members who terrorize their own communities: We and our federal and city law enforcement partners will not tolerate such heinous criminal conduct.”

In his music, Herron claimed to be a leader of the “Murderous Mad Dogs,” a division of the Bloods. He also boasted online about “beating a body,” a reference to beating a murder rap. His street name was “Ra Diggs.”

Former Prime Minister Of Jamaica Claims He Never Told US Authorities That Women Were Raped During The Tivoli Raids

brucegoldingFormer Prime Minister Bruce Golding on Thursday denied that he told US Charge d’affaires Isaiah Parnell that non-combatants were being “summarily” killed and women raped during the security forces’ operation to apprehend former don Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.

Golding made the denial while being questioned by Lord Anthony Gifford, QC, during the Tivoli Gardens enquiry.

Gifford had questioned Golding about the content of an e-mail sent in May 2010 by Isaiah Parnell, the US charge d’affaires in Jamaica, to a colleague after meeting with Golding a day after the May 24 operation to apprehend Coke started.

Parnell had told his colleague that Golding had told him that women were being raped and non-combatants were being “summarily shot”, but that “our military assets could not confirm this”.

Asked if what Parnell said to his colleague, that Golding could not trust the reporting from the Jamaica Defence Force, and sent Bishop Herro Blair, then public defender and then head of the Red Cross Dr Jaslin Stewart into Tivoli was indeed his position, Golding said he sent the men into Tivoli Gardens because of conflicting reports, and he was in search of truth.
