For those unfamiliar with the back story, former No Limit Records rapper “Mac,” is serving 30 years for manslaughter.

Recently witnesses have recanted their stories which has raised questions of whether Mac is jailed on false testimony by those witnesses.

As of today, it has been 15 years since Mac was convicted but he is hoping for a new trial in wake of the new evidence presented in his favor.

Man Awarded 9.1 Million for Wrongful Conviction

Here’s a gut wrenching story.

This man was wrongfully convicted of a terrible heinous crime and made to stay in prison for 22 years where he suffered mental, physical and sexual abuse.

The judgment of $9.1 million seems like a good attempt by the courts to right their wrong, but how can this man be re-paid for years and years of being confined and ultimately violated for a crime he didn’t even commit?

Hopefully he can still salvage what’s left of his life and find healing in all of this.

What a sad miscarriage of justice!
