Reggae Star Damian Marley Becomes An Artist Owner Of Tidal

Damien “Jr Gong” Marley, son of legendary Bob Marley is now part owner of Jay Z’s “Tidal” music company

AllHipHop News– On October 20, entertainment platform Tidal held the star-studded TIDAL X: 1020 charity concert in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Several of the part owners of the streaming service – such as Jay Z, Beyoncé, Usher, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne – were on hand to hit the stage, but the night also featured the announcement of a new co-owner.

Radio personality Angie Martinez revealed to the audience that reggae megastar Damian “Jr Gong” Marley is the newest artist owner of Tidal. Marley also performed at the showcase.

Fans can watch a replay of the entire TIDAL X: 1020 here. Other acts to perform included Nas, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Fabolous, T.I., Young Dro, French Montana, and Vic Mensa. 100% of the total tickets’ face value proceeds went to support charities via New World Foundation.
