Looks like Lil Meech, son of Black Mafia Family boss, Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory is heading off to college this fall.
Lil Meech posted the following picture to his InstaStory. “First Day of College Wish Me Luck” [sp].
Congrats Lil Meech! We need more stories such as this. College is not for everyone, but hopefully this will influence more young men to take up education or training. There’s a million ways to make money but knowledge is key.
Check out this interview of him discussing his father’s legacy.
I realize I am a little late with this post. It’s been in my inbox since 7/26. (I send upcoming stories I would like to post/discuss to my inbox for safe keepings).
Apparently DMX is locked up with Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory while doing a year for tax evasion. The two posed it up for a yard flick at the FCI Gilmer in West Virginia.
I’m a southerner born and bred but I have always been a fan of DMX. I actually met him with some Ruff Ryder buddies back in the day & been a superfan ever since. I feel like he would make a good preacher or teacher some day. He’s so real and the people could definitely use a word. Free the X!
Longtime girlfriend of Southwest T – Tonesa Welch parties up Miami, sipping champagne with Rap/TV Mogul 50 Cent.
Check out this interview of Tonesa discussing the history and future of the Black Mafia Family.
50 Cent let it be known to his fans that his long awaited BMF TV series is still coming and the delay is not all his fault.
50 said that they are still shooting the pilot and he has re written it 5 times and fired a few writers, but he also puts blame on Starz for dragging their feet on this BMF project.
[In a IG post that has now been deleted] 50 also let Starz know he has no problem leaving and taking his show elsewhere.
Speaking of the show, check out this snippet of “Lil Meech” – son of Demtrius “Big Meech” Flenory, talking about playing his dad in the upcoming television series.
Via All Hip Hop News – Rapper LL Cool J has appealed to Barack Obama to pardon incarcerated drug kingpin Big Meech and his brother before the U.S. President leaves office this month.
Meech, real name Demetrius Flenory, headed up infamous crime organization the Black Mafia Family (BMF) and launched his own drug-funded music business called BMF Entertainment, before he and his brother, Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory, were imprisoned in 2005.
The siblings are each serving 30-year sentences, but LL Cool J has thrown his support behind the brothers in a bid to have them freed by an executive order.
The rapper/actor has outlined his argument in a lengthy post on Instagram, alongside a picture of the Flenorys during their early days on the street.
“I think these two guys who are both products of my generation could do a lot of good in the community if they were pardoned,” LL wrote. “They were incarcerated for non violent drug offenses.if they were pardoned I’m sure they would do the right thing (sic).
It’s a matter of character. From the outside looking in I think they both have it.”
The hip-hop veteran goes on to insist the brothers have shown promise of turning their lives around if given the opportunity to regain their freedom sooner than planned, and could “potentially bring a lot of healing and inspiration to a down trodden community and show all our citizens that the USA is a country where second chances are possible.
“I really think these guys… should have their cases reviewed. They should receive either a full pardon or at a minimum a sentence reduction. 30 years for a ‘non violent’ charge no matter how large the case may be; Still feels heavy handed to me.”
LL concludes his note by adding, “Let’s all hope it happens for them. Keep your heads up fellas. I’m praying for you. I love our country. I believe this would be a just decision. Pardon Meech and Terry Flenory.”
Obama has yet to comment on the pardon effort, but he doesn’t have much time to take action – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will take over the White House following his inauguration on 20 January.
“I don’t condone what they did but I understand why they did it,” he continued, insisting those living in rough inner cities will do anything to escape their struggles.
