In the 1980s, musician Daryl Davis set out to understand the Ku Klux Klan. So he started befriending members at Klan rallies and joined an all-white country band. Then, he met Imperial Wizard Roger Kelly. Davis spent years building a relationship with Kelly, establishing trust and, eventually, a friendship.

They ate meals at each others’ homes while Davis listened to Kelly, seeking to see how he could hate a person like Davis without even knowing him. Eventually, Kelly started listening to Davis and left the Klan altogether, giving Davis his robes and hood. And over the past 30 years, Davis has now convinced over 200 former Klan members to walk away. Abandoned and Forgotten

Illinois Cafeteria Worker Sentenced to 9 Years in Prison for Stealing $1.5 Million Worth of Chicken Wings

A 68 year old Illinois cafeteria worker is being charged with heading a criminal enterprise and sent to prison after stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings from the school district where she served as the food director.

She pleaded guilty to the crime and was sentenced to a whopping nine years in prison.

For some damn chicken wings?! Wow. She must have been the plug because there is no way one person can eat 11,000 cases of chicken wings.

Sheriff Who Hired Deputy Killer of Sonya Massey Will Resign Due to Public Pressure

The murder of Sonya Massey by Sangamon County Deputy Sean P Grayson, an officer with a known criminal history, who was hired by Sheriff Jack Campbell has sent shockwaves through the nation and ignited a nationwide call for accountability and justice.

Apparently the people’s voice has been heard because news broke today that he will in fact retire after previously remaining steadfast and refusing to step down reiterating that he didn’t see a reason to do so. Never mind Sonya’s blood who’s on his hands.

The online Change petition Demand Sheriff Jack Campbell’s Resignation and Investigation into Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department Hiring Practices has reached over 40,000 signatures and counting.
