Dope Readz: ‘Lucky Luciano: Mysterious Tales of a Gangland Legend’ by Christian Cipollini

LuckyLampMy current free time read comes courtesy of True Crime Author (and my writing mentor) Christian Cipollini

Every now and then I am able to break free of writing my own material, grab a nice glass of wine and JUST READ. I was more than pumped  when my favorite writer sent me a copy of his newest book, Lucky Luciano: Mysterious Tales of a Gangland Legend.

The novel is a pretty dope read and I’m not just saying that because the author, “Cip” is my “crime partner”.

The story itself is so intriguing.

Out of all of the legendary gangsters, I would have to say that Lucky Luciano was probably one of my all time favorites. I love his “business mind” and how he did things, which was very unconventional for his time.

Reading up on “The Boss of All Bosses” made me realize what a forward thinker he actually was and how he in many ways “revolutionized” the mob and its dealings.

Luciano joined forces with anyone of his time that could help him earn money, power and respect and he didn’t care what race or nationality that “help” came from. My kind of guy.

Below is the very clever chapter listing of the book.

Randomly check back with The Pen Hustle for all things “Cipollini” — including my exclusive one on one chat time with the “Italian Scallion” himself.

Man Ran Over By Suge Knight Says He’s Not Snitching

SugeKnightcourt5

As the Suge Knight Saga continues, one of the men that that was run over by Knight at a Compton burger joint says that he’s not going to “snitch” on the former Death Row label owner.

Even though there is surveillance video of Suge Knight running over two men in his red pickup truck, “Bone” says he’s not talking.

Being as though there is pretty concrete evidence of the hit and run which left one man dead, I wonder how this case will play out.

By personal experience I know that once the State or Federal prosecutors pick up a case, they are pretty much going after you whether the victim approves or not. Jesus Christ (himself) would have to come down off the cross to save you once they have video evidence of a crime being committed.

This is definitely still a big positive for Suge’s defense but we will see how the court responds…

Stay tuned to The Pen Hustler…

Via TMZ:

The man who got run over by Suge Knight, and survived, tearfully testified in court that he would not “snitch” and help prosecutors put Suge in prison.

Cle “Bone” Sloan was called to the stand during Suge’s preliminary hearing Monday AM, and the prosecutor raised the topic of snitching.

Sloan got emotional and declared he “doesn’t want to be used to send this man to prison.” He added, “I screwed up and Terry’s dead.”

It’s amazing … the guy who was laid up for weeks with broken bones from Suge plowing over him — took the stand and tried to take the blame for Terry Carter’s death … seemingly taking some heat off Suge.

But what Bone giveth he taketh away, because by saying he wouldn’t snitch and help put Suge in prison, by definition he’s saying Suge did bad things that should land him in the big house.

Police said a woman who was wearing no pants and highly intoxicated was arrested around 1 a.m. Friday in Dayton, OH while outside banging on an apartment door.

The woman is in the Montgomery County Jail, facing public indecency and disorderly conduct charges. She’s identified as Ashley Sturgill, 27.

According to the Dayton Police report, they were called about a suspicious person complaint with possible sex acts involved.

The officers found Sturgill loudly banging on a door where, it was later determined, she was no longer welcome because of her behavior.

Police tried to get the woman to put on her pants, located on the ground nearby. Instead, the officer reports the woman picked up a white garbage bag, full of trash, and tried to put it on like pants. In the process, she reportedly cut her foot on broken glass.

The wound was photographed to log her injury, then Sturgill was taken to jail, with pants on.
