Mexican Kingpin El Chapo Letter Accuses US Prison Officials of Bullying Him Out of Fear He Will Escape Again

Mexico drug cartel leader El Chapo’s previous two escapes from Mexican prisons were nothing short of amazing.

I can’t imagine the amount of compliance it takes for a mastermind scheme of that magnitude to be perfectly executed. Now the cartel boss is locked up in Unites States custody in a federal maximum security prison in Colorado.

He recently wrote a letter to the Chicago judge who sent him there accusing the officials of mistreatment, bullying & keeping him on permanent lockdown 23 hours a day because they fear he will slip away again. He also says he is not receiving new attorney documents for new court motions.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, nobody has ever broken out of the super max security facility, which is also referred to as the “Alcatraz of the Rockies,” since its opening in 1994.

Do you think El Chapo can pull off another escape plan? I think the US judicial and prison system is a lot different than Mexico. Once the Feds lock in it’s really no escape from that.

Ex Officer Convicted of the Murder of George Floyd Stabbed in Prison

NBC News — Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of George Floyd’s murder, was seriously injured in a prison stabbing.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons would not confirm the victim of an attack at that facility on Friday is Derek Chauvin, but it offered other details in a statement, including that the victim was hospitalized.

The assault took place about 12:30 p.m., the bureau of prisons said, and “responding employees initiated life-saving measures for one incarcerated individual.”

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said in a statement that he was “saddened” by the incident.

“I am sad to hear that Derek Chauvin was the target of violence,” Ellison said. “He was duly convicted of his crimes and, like any incarcerated individual, he should be able to serve his sentence without fear of retaliation or violence.”

77-year-old Texas Lawyer Arrested for Allegedly Smuggling Drugs into Texas Jail

Wow I guess you’re never too old to hustle. I came across this article on Apple News and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I can’t imagine a senior citizen placing themselves in this situation even for a dollar but I guess crime pays extremely well, perhaps more than a lawyer’s salary.

A defense attorney in Houston, Texas, is facing up two felony charges and up to ten years in prison after being accused of smuggling drugs to inmates in a county jail.

According to the article, multiple inmates fell ill after injecting the drugs from laced paper documents. The lawyer is accused of being a major supplier of the drugs, disguised as regular mail. Inmates would pay anywhere from $250-500 to the attorney to bring in laced documents with ecstasy, synthetic marijuana and narcotics. Two inmates have died.

There are apparently other attorneys under investigation as well after an uptick in overdoses inside the jail. Over the past few years the jail has failed a number of inspections for things like laxed monitoring & failure to provide medical care to inmates.
