Prosecutors Cite Lyrics in Chicago Rapper Lil Durk Murder for Hire Indictment

Chicago rapper Lil Durk is the latest hip hop artist to be indicted on criminal charges and the authorities are digging in the crates and referencing his song lyrics to use against him.

According to justice.gov, Durk Banks, 32, a.k.a. “Lil Durk,” “Blood,” and “Mustafa Abdul Malak,” is charged with one count of conspiracy, one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

Banks was arrested on October 17 near Miami International Airport after law enforcement learned that Banks had been booked on multiple international flights.  A federal magistrate judge in Miami has ordered him jailed without bond until he is transferred to Los Angeles for arraignment.

He has now been transferred. He and five other men could face anywhere from life in prison to the death penalty if convicted.

Fans on social media have posted various lyrics and videos of Durk supposedly referencing his crimes.

It has since been revealed that one of Durk’s own OTF crew members was responsible in helping authorities gather evidence of the alleged crimes by going undercover.

According to a post by The Neighborhood Talk, a screenshot from a post someone named OTF Twin made showing a photo of the man who allegedly wore a wire, which may have led to evidence against Lil Durk.
