Netflix Series Leaves Out Relationship with Griselda Blanco and Her Black Boyfriend

Griselda Blanco and Charles

The new Netflix series “Griselda” is out now and fans are calling out a few omissions about the cocaine queen dealer’s life that were left out of the film — mainly her relationship with a black man named Charles Crosby.

Blanco served 15 years in federal prison before being released and deported back to her homeland of Colombia where she was eventually assassinated in 2012.

During her incarceration, ex drug dealer Charles Crosby is the only black man known to date or even get close to the Colombian cartel queen.

Crosby was in his early 20’s and Blanco in her late 40’s. The unlikely romance sprung from a pen pal relationship in which Crosby initiated by writing the queenpin a letter.

Son of Colombian Cartel Queen Griselda Blanco Suing Actress Sophia Vergera Over Netflix Movie

Colombian actress Sophia Vergera is under fire for her depiction of Colombia’s most infamous drug queenpin Griselda Blanco.

According to Fox News — Michael Corleone Blanco and his wife Marie filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade County on Jan. 17, alleging “unauthorized” use of his “artistic literary work” and the family’s “image, likeness and/or identity.”

Blanco claimed in the lawsuit that Netflix usedinformation from private interviews he did about his mother’s life for its limited series without his authorization and without compensating him.

Eric Newman, creator and executive producer of “Griselda,” told Today.com: “I dealt with similar suits from Pablo Escobar, his family, during the making of ‘Narcos.’ I tend not to think much about them. It just feels a little bit unsurprising and kind of comes with the territory.”

The limited series premieres January 25.

All Girls Crime Movie “Set It Off” Turns 27

This year marks 27 years since the release of “Set It Off”, released on November 6, 1996 and I feel super old. It’s so hard to believe this movie came out in the nineties because it’s such a timeless film.

The action and crime film, starring Jada Pinkett, Queen Latifah, Vivica A. Fox, and Kimberly Elise as an all female gang of bank will go down in the history books as one of the hood classics. The film also had an memorable supporting cast including rap legend Dr Dre.

There really hasn’t been an all girls film of this nature and this dope that has been released since. To me, this is one of those films you hope they don’t try and replicate or remake. Some masterpieces should remain untouched.

Which character did you relate best to? I would have to say I definitely relate most to Vivica’s character — Frankie.

If you have never seen this film or you simply forgot how dope this film is check out the trailer.
