Rapper Meek Mill No Longer Has a Felony Record

Philly’s own, rapper Meek Mill is officially a free man.

Meek announced alongside an interview with the biggest boss Rick Ross that his felony convictions have officially been wiped clean from his record, thus allowing him the freedom to move about like us regular people.

Congrats to Meek Mill because during my time working on criminal and prison reform I know this is actually a huge deal.

A game changer.

The prison pipeline for black men has been catastrophic and ruined many lives even after redemption. The sad part is once the criminal background is marred with felonies, it limits the quality of life.

It’s like you almost belong to the government and most jobs and housing check perform criminal background checks. It can affect so many other important aspects of life including basic human rights such as voting. (I have always thought taking away a person’s rights to vote was ridiculous)

Having a felonious record is a very difficult conviction to overcome, but thankfully there are programs that can assist with record expungement.

Russia Allegedly Executing Soldiers Who Do Not Follow Orders to Go to War

According to Reuters — The United States has information that the Russian military is executing soldiers who do not follow orders related to the war with Ukraine, the White House said on Thursday.

“We have information that the Russian military has been actually executing soldiers who refuse to follow orders,” White House spokesperson John Kirby told reporters.

“We also have information that Russian commanders are threatening to execute entire units if they seek to retreat from Ukrainian artillery fire,” Kirby said.

Representatives from the Kremlin, the Russian defense ministry, and the Russian embassy to the United States did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the issue.

BMF: Chad JBo Brown Re-Arrested on Federal Drug Charges in St Louis

BMF affiliate and former Big Meech right hand man Chad JBo Brown was re-arrested on federal drugs charges in his home city of St. Louis for the alleged distribution of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine as well as fraud. The alleged fraud is based on the receipt of a Covid 19 PPP loan intended for struggling businesses and employees.

JBo was also arrested during the initial Black Mafia Family bust that landed Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ and his brother Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory and his former girlfriend Tonesa ‘Toni’ Welch (and a host of others) in federal prison. The federal indictments stemmed from a massive DEA raid on the drug organization back in 2005. He ended up serving 11 years on a 15-20 year plea deal for those charges.

According to news reports, more than two dozen Black Mafia Family affiliates were also arrested last week in connection to various charges after a bust recovered a large amount of drugs, firearms and cash. As of today a total of 34 people have been charged in the investigation.
