The Los Angeles Police Department has solved the murders of rappers Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace and Tupac Shakur, according to a documentary featuring retired LAPD detective Greg Kading, who once led a special task force that investigated those two-decade-old shootings.
Based on his three years working the cases, Kading claims that Sean “Diddy” Combs hired Crips gang member Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis to kill Shakur and his manager, Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight, for $1 million. He alleges that on the night of Sept. 7, 1996, Keffe D’s nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, pulled the trigger. Only Shakur was killed.
Kading alleges that in retaliation, Knight hired Bloods gang member Wardell “Poochie” Fouse to kill Biggie Smalls for $13,000. Biggie Smalls was shot to death on March 9, 1997, just six months after Shakur died.
Over the course of investigating, Kading says that he essentially trapped Keffe D into a situation where he had to give a verifiable confession about the events that led to Shakur’s murder or else face severe charges for another crime.
“If his intention was to just get away with it, so to speak,” Kading told HuffPost, “it would have been very easy for him to not include all the details that he did.”
These extra details, according to the documentary, include the allegation that Combs hired Keffe D for the crime.
The documentary, titled “Murder Rap,” originally premiered in 2015. Based on Kading’s 2011 book of the same name, it’s available on iTunes now and will debut on Netflix in the spring.

A judge has ruled that The Game has lost a sex assault case after he never bothered to answer the accuser’s complaint.
Priscilla Rainey – who was a contestant on the VH1 dating reality show, “She’s Got Game” – sued The Game for $10 million back in August 2015 for sexually assaulting her.
Rainey said that last May, while shooting the show, she went out on an after-hours date with the rapper. The woman claimed that she went to a local bar in Illinois where The Game was out of control and drunk and high.
She said that during the night The Game sexually assaulted her on several occasions, including him forcefully reaching his hand inside her dress to rub her bare vagina and buttocks. The contestant explained she never gave him permission to touch her and she felt degraded by the unwanted touching.
The woman said she suffered physical, psychological and emotional damages due to the rapper’s actions.
Despite Rainey’s repeated attempts to serve The Game, and her contention that he was aware of the suit, the rapper never responded.
A judge ruled in Rainey’s favor, and found The Game liable by default.
Now, Rainey will have to prove to a judge why she’s entitled to $10 million in damages.
Rainey’s lawyer, Adam Horowitz, told BOSSIP that the woman is still recovering from the ordeal.
“My client was damaged by the sexual assault. She’s been in therapy. Now, she’s anxious to tell her story.”
That doesn’t necessarily mean she’s going to get all the $10 million: She’ll still have to prove to the judge that she suffered that much in damages.
If she does, it’s going to cut big time into The Game’s bank account.

Via Fortune– Michigan Governor Rick Snyder plans to request state funding to help alleviate residents affected by the Flint Water Crisis.
As part of his 2016-2017 budget proposal, Snyder will ask that $30 million be set aside to help residents of Flint, Michigan pay their water/sewer bill, the Associated Press reports. Sewage was estimated to compose over half the total bill. The allotment would then pay 65% of the water portion that covers things like drinking, cooking, bathing, and washing hands.
The $30 million will be taken from a previous budget surplus of $575 million. “Flint residents will not have to pay for water they cannot drink,” Snyder told AP.
If approved, the proposal will cover the two-year period starting in April 2014 and ending this spring, which is when the water supply will hopefully be safe to use. It will benefit 21,000 Flint residents, both those who currently reside in the town as well as others who have already moved away. There are also 9,000 residents in debt who will be put on a payment plan to help them catch up with their sewer charges and the remaining 35% of their water bill.
“I think it’s an amazing gesture of common sense and goodwill, and it corrects an injustice,” Virginia Tech professor Marc Edwards, who helped expose the problem, told AP.
However, not everyone’s impressed. Flint Senator Jim Ananich criticized Snyder for his slow and inadequate response, and his spokesperson told AP that it “doesn’t even come close to refunding Flint residents for undrinkable, unusable water they paid for starting in April 2014—let alone what they then paid for water they could use.”
