Dutch Man Waits 10 Days in Chinese Airport for Online Girlfriend, Who Never Shows Up

A 41-year-old Dutch man was hospitalized after recently spending 10 days at an airport in China’s Hunan Province waiting for his online girlfriend, according to multiple reports.

Alexander Cirk flew from his native Holland to China to meet a 26-year-old woman about two months after the pair struck up a relationship through an app, the BBC reported.

Cirk believed his internet girlfriend, who was identified only by her surname of Zhang, was going to meet him at Changsha Airport. But when he arrived, she wasn’t there to meet him as promised, CCTV reported.

Zhang also didn’t show up over the next 10 days, which was how long the love struck man spent at the airport before he was taken to a local hospital.

A series of photos taken over a period of days circulated online showed Cirk reclining in an airport chair, and later looking exhausted and frail.

Zhang told a Hunan television station that she thought it was a joke, saying they had agreed to wait a year before meeting in person, according to CCTV.

“We had advanced our romantic relationship but later he seemed a little callous toward me,” she said, according to a post on the network’s Facebook page. “One day he sent me a photo of air tickets abruptly, and I thought it was a joke. He didn’t contact me later.”

Zhang told CCTV that she was in another city having cosmetic surgery at the time, and that she didn’t see Cirk’s messages when he arrived in China.

Still, she indicated she was interested in continuing the relationship and would meet him after she recovered from the surgery, the station reported.

The man’s story the airport took over local news and social media, with some expressing sympathy for him and others decrying the whole thing as “weird,” according to CCTV.

Cirk apparently returned home Monday, purchasing a return ticket to the Netherlands, the station reported.

Wow! 10 days?

New Black Panthers Party Leader In Florida Calls Police After He Was Robbed

I don’t know how to feel about this story. It’s actually a little appalling.

Mediatakeout posted a story from FOX 13-Tampa about Ali Muhammad, who claims to be a leader of the New Black Panthers Party getting robbed at gunpoint and Mr. Muhammad does the unthinkable… He called the COPS to go after the robber.

Check out the story:

A leader of the Black Panther movement in Tampa Florida, was robbed at GUNPOINT this weekend. The thief stole his diamond earrings, laptop and his bookbag on a dark street.

Ali called police – who managed to apprehend the robber, 18 year old Antwon Robinson, just a few hours after he called.

Listen to the interview, at the end Ali says he is still “very anti-police”

The fact that he called the cops is not the unthinkable part, but the fact that the Black Panthers are known for being so vocally “anti-police.” Crazier part here is at the end Muhammad still claims to be anti-police which is ridiculous and insanely hypocritical.

So let me guess the coppers are only good for retrieving your stolen goods when you are the victim of crime, then you have no more use for them? Boy, bye!

Reminds me of this picture I found to be hilarious on Twitter…

Rappers 50 Cent & The Game Squash ’12 Year Old Beef’

Looks like 50 Cent and The Game have made official emends and are looking to put their petty hip hop beef behind them.

According to the Internet streets:

50 cent appears to have ended his long running beef with The Game. The two were spotted out partying together, which has–of course–led to rumors that they may collaborate on something down the road.

The rappers were out having a grand time on Monday (August 1) at Ace of Diamonds in Los Angeles (via TMZ). “I f— with 50,” The Game told the cheering crowd. “What happened, that s— was 12 years ago.”

He added, “Ain’t nobody on that old s—.” In May, The Game’s newest signee Pharaoh Jackson said the rapper was contemplating a reunion with G-Unit. The Game squashed those rumors at the time, but with this latest appearance it’s possible he and 50 could be plotting a fresh collaboration soon.

As for why the pair suddenly had a change of heart, perhaps it’s a result of The Game’s recent involvement in anti-violence campaigns. He’s been spearheading different initiatives meant to send a peaceful message, which would be much harder to do if he doesn’t practice what he preaches. Either way, it’s nice to see the two put their differences aside and start off fresh.

I guess I’m really late because I thought these two had already squashed their beef back in 08-09? And I thought they had already collabed as well? At any rate it’s good to see them put all the ‘beef’ behind them for good (again).
