Video Shows Police Shooting Man Seven Times Outside California 7-Eleven

LA Times– The deadly encounter occurred about 9:30 a.m., when the officer contacted the man at the 7-Eleven at 6012 Edinger Ave. and the two got into an altercation. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The bystander who captured the video told The Times that he was in his car when he saw a police officer backing his cruiser out of the 7-Eleven parking lot. The officer stopped and flashed his headlights at a man dressed in dark clothing. When the officer got out of his vehicle and approached, the man swung at the officer.

The videos show the man standing, turning and hunching his shoulders as the sound of up to seven gunshots can be heard. The officer’s voice also can be heard shouting, “Get down!” The man then drops a dark object from his right hand and collapses to the ground.

WATCH: Is Haiti Prison The Most Evil In The World?

This eye opening documentary goes deep inside the trenches of Haiti’s biggest prison.

Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the Caribbean and the world, is plagued with extreme crime and poverty.

The film highlights the severe overcrowding and uncontionably inhumane conditions that inmates are forced to live in inside the prison. It also exposes the brazen corruption within the Haitian judicial system.

This place makes Pelican Bay or Rikers Island look like a 5 star resort in comparison. I don’t doubt that US prisoners have it hard behind bars but inevitably nothing compares to the struggle in foreign prisons. Mainly because they have absolutely no regulations or regard for human life.

It’s impossible to fathom anyone living under such diabolical conditions.

UPDATED: O.J. Simpson Is Up For Parole And Looking Forward To Playing Golf Again Soon

The original “OJ the Juiceman” is up for parole for killing his ex wife back in the 90’s a Vegas memorabilia heist that he allegedly orchestrated and is “optimistic” that he will be released from prison and back to playing golf in no time.

According to USA Today:

“He says, ‘Tell them we’ll be playing golf again soon,’ ” Tom Scotto said of O.J. Sunday in a phone interview.

If paroled, Simpson, 70, is eligible for release Oct. 1.

Simpson sounded “excited’’ when he and Scotto spoke by phone last week, according to Scotto, who added that he will be in the hearing room with the former football star Thursday at Lovelock Correctional Center, where Simpson has been imprisoned for almost nine years.

In 2008, Simpson was sentenced to a minimum of nine years and a maximum of 33 years in prison for his role in the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia agents at a Las Vegas hotel, and Scotto indicated Simpson is ready to reclaim his life outside of prison.

“He just says, ‘We’ll be together again, my life will go back to normal, ’ ” Scotto said. “He’s very positive. He’s always been positive.”

In life positivity is key, however, I am not so sure if being positive will be enough to release O.J. from the unforgiving grips of the people’s law. However, stranger things have happened.

Prosecutors have had it out for this guy ever since he was surprisingly acquitted of the murder of his former wife Nicole Brown and her boyfriend Ron Goldman back in 94′. Many believe his current prison sentence is nothing short of inescapable karma for those past transgressions. Nonetheless, miracles do happen everyday so we will just have to wait and see what fate holds for the former pro athlete turned convict.

****UPDATED****

OJ Simpson was granted parole and will be released to a parole officer on October 1, 2017. He will reside in Florida.
