Rapper Bobby Shmurda Takes 7 Year Plea Deal In Gang Conspiracy Case


Incarcerated “Hot Boy” rapper Bobby Shmurda will be calling prison home for the next 7 years. 

According to Bossip, ‘Shmurda’ and a few of his GS9 co-defendants have reluctantly decided to accept a plea deal for gun and drug charges.

Bobby Shmurda has agreed to seven year prison deal in his gang conspiracy case, capping a saga that stretched for nearly two years and stopping the case from going to trial.

The troubled rapper admitted his role the GS9 gang during a plea hearing Friday in Manhattan Supreme Court in exchange for the seven year deal, and pled guilty to conspiracy and criminal possession of a weapon.

“I plead guilty,” the subdued Shmurda, who was born Ackquille Pollard, told the Judge Abraham Clott before shaking his head and slumping into his seat.

Shmurda conceded that he did have a loaded gun on him when cops raided a Brooklyn apartment he and codefendant Alex McCoy were hanging out in two years ago.

“Now Mr. Pollard, is it your understanding that one June 3, 2014 at 106 Rockaway Parkway, you were in possession of a loaded firearm with someone else?” Judge Clott asked Shmurda.

“Yes your honor,” he replied.
Judge Clott said had Shmurda gone to trial, he would have faced up to 18 years on the weapons and conspiracy charges.

Prosecutors said Shmurda led the violent GS9 street gang, which terrorized Brooklyn with shootings and drug sales for almost two years.

Considering the evidence stacked against him, a plea deal seems plausible in this case.

Bill Cosby To Go On Trial For Sexual Assault Charges

Bill Cosby’s lawyers may ask a judge on Tuesday to throw out two key pieces of evidence in the sexual misconduct case against the comedian: a deposition Cosby gave in a 2005 lawsuit by accuser Andrea Constand and a recording of a phone call between Cosby and Constand’s mother.

According to KTLA:

Judge Steven O’Neill’s ruling on those defense motions could shape the case against Cosby, one of the nation’s most-loved entertainers until dozens of women accused him of sexually assaulting them over several decades.

This is the first time he’s faced criminal prosecution. Cosby is charged with three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault from a 2004 case involving Andrea Constand, an employee at his alma mater, Temple University.

She said she went to his home in a Philadelphia suburb for a career consultation and he gave her a mix of pills and wine that left her incapacitated and unable to consent to sex.

Cosby, 79, has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He is required to attend the hearing.

 

Chris Brown’s Lawyer Says LAPD Found No Guns Or Drugs At His Home

Something in the milk just wasn’t clean about the lie story that Chris Brown’s gun accuser, Baylee Curran was telling.

According to Bossip, Brown’s defense attorney is saying that they have proof that the dethroned beauty queen was sharing falsehoods the entire time and there were no guns found in his Hollywood home.

Chris Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, says a woman’s claim Chris pointed a gun at her is nothing more than a false accusation made in hopes of becoming famous.

Geragos addressed the media Friday — and made it clear — he says no guns or drugs were found by cops in the singer’s home. He also stated reports Brown’s 2-year-old daughter, Royalty, was home during the alleged incident are total BS.

It’s interesting … Mark said his office is still investigating the validity of text messages Baylee Curran allegedly sent which show she was trying to set Chris up. Geragos said if it’s found Curran did lie, he’ll call for a criminal investigation against her.

It’s really a shame that someone can just make up a lie and sell it to the tabloids as gospel. Let this be reminder to us all –to keep an eye on the company we keep.
