Former Miss Kentucky Accused Of Smuggling Weed To Boyfriend In Prison

Love will make you do some crazy things.

According to NY Daily News –A former Miss Kentucky USA is accused of attempting to smuggle drugs to a man serving time in an Ohio prison.

When Kia Hampton walked into the Allen Correctional Institution back in May, officers had already gathered enough evidence to obtain a warrant for a cavity search after listening to series of recorded phone calls, the Courier-Journal reported.

Hampton, amid questioning from officers at the prison, reached into her pant leg and pushed a white balloon out onto the floor. Officers later determined she’d been attempting to smuggle about 2.82 grams of marijuana into the Allen County facility for inmate Jeremy Kelly, according to the newspaper.

The former beauty pageant contestant was arrested the same day and indicted earlier this month.

The 28-year-old faces one count of “illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility.”

It’s a third-degree felony that comes with a three-year prison sentence.

Hampton in November 2010 was crowned Miss Kentucky USA at the age of 21. She was the first African American selected to represent Miss Kentucky in the Miss USA Pageant.

Maryland Man Lights House On Fire To Get Rid Of Lice

So say what now?

According to Fox 5 San Diego:

An attempt to get rid of an annoying pest lands a Maryland man in jail.

Raymundo Ravelo is accused of trying to set his home on fire to kill lice.

Ravelo reportedly tried chemicals and powders, but said they didn’t work. Police say he couldn’t afford a professional exterminator, so the 54-year-old got drunk and poured gasoline around his rental home.

When his family asked what he was doing, Ravelo said he was going to set it on fire and quote “let it burn a bit.”

Ravelo was arrested for attempted arson and could face 40-years in prison.

Wow.. 40 years!

Georgia Church Car Jacker Arrested After Police Chase

Anyone who commits crimes on church grounds does not deserve a place to breathe in the free world. That’s just my personal opinion.

Lock these kind of people up away from the general population and toss the keys.

Channel 2 News (Atlanta):

The Alpharetta Police Department confirmed with Channel 2 Action News that a carjacking happened at a church Friday evening.

Police said Jason Taratoot, 31,  held the victim at gunpoint and stole a green Kia Soul at St. James Methodist Church.

An officer spotted the vehicle driving southbound on Georgia 400, and when Taratoot refused to stop, a short vehicle pursuit started.

The suspect attempted to run away, but was stopped by a police canine.

“Our investigation revealed the captured suspect was a wanted fugitive out of Cherokee County,” the department posted on its Facebook page.

The suspect faces numerous felony charges, including aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm.

No one was hurt and the suspect is now in jail, according to officials.
