A former “Jerry Springer” producer who was arrested and released in the death of her sister may have backed out of a suicide pact at the last moment, TMZ reported Saturday.
Jill Blackstone found the body of sister Wendy and three dead dogs in the garage of her San Fernando home and had suffered from severe carbon monoxide poisoning herself, according to the gossip website.
The surviving sister told cops that 49-year-old Wendy killed herself. However, a law enforcement source told TMZ that authorities believe that the sisters may have planned the suicide together, with Jill changing her mind with very little time to spare by calling a friend, who alerted 911.
Blackstone was initially held on $1 million bail, according to TMZ, but cops released her. However, an LAPD source told the Daily News earlier this week that “the investigation is still ongoing.”

In addition to “Jerry Springer,” Jill Blackstone has worked on such shows as the “Sally Jesse Raphael Show,” “Divorce Court,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and “The Tony Danza Show.”
