Illinois Repo Man Tows Couple’s Car Then Pays It Off

An Illinois repo man ended up helping a couple pay off their car after he was sent to their home to repossess the vehicle, KTLA sister station KTVI in St. Louis reported this week.

Repo man Jim Ford, co-ower of Illini Asset Recover, wears his company name on his back, and his heart on his sleeve. His job is to “take cars … from people who don’t pay.”

“’I’ve been shot at, ran over, just about everything you can imagine,” he said.  “I haven’t been stabbed yet.”

There’s not a place on the map Ford hasn’t traveled to repossess somebody’s car for a bank.   But he wasn’t prepared for what he saw when he arrived at the Illinois home of Stan and Pat Kipping.

“You know, it was just one of those repos,” Ford told KTVI.  “My grandparents are gone, but you know – I could see them in the Kippings.  I knew what was going on.  The cost of their medications have doubled or tripled, and I know that’s happening to everybody.  I knew why they were behind.”

“We had to go to the doctor, drug store, and grocery,” said Pat Kipping.  “That’s about all we ever got to do.”

And now their transportation was gone.  Ford did repossess their car, but then he immediately got on the phone with the bank.

“I pulled over about a block away from their house and called the bank and said… we got to do something,” Ford said.  “How about I just pay it current right now?”

Ford promptly set up a GoFundMe account.

He said, “We raised most of it in the first eight hours.  I think might just reactivate it, because they are a lot of people who keep asking to donate.”

On Monday, the Kippings got their four-wheel freedom back.

“It’s just like hitting the lottery,” said Stan.  “I’m just so happy, I can’t believe it.”

In addition to paying the vehicle off, Ford and his fellow benefactors got the oil changed and had the car detailed.

“We owe a drugstore $500,” said Pat.  “We owe IGA, our grocery store, money.  And then this happened.  It’s made me think that there are very good people out there, and it’s not all bad.”

Video Captures Violent Fight Between Black Friday Shoppers At California Mall

Welp! Tis the season! According to KTLA– Black Friday turned violent for a group of shoppers at a crowded mall in Modesto when a fight broke out near a JCPenney store on Thanksgiving night.

The incident occurred at the Vintage Faire Mall while the Black Friday shopping rush was well underway, videos posted to Twitter and YouTube showed.

Marco Sebastian, who witnessed the brawl, told CNN he was hanging out at the mall around midnight when he witnessed a large group of people fighting during a late night of shopping.

Sebastian didn’t know what exactly started the fight, but said eventually, security responded and stopped the fighting.

Police were not called to the scene, and there were no reports of injuries connected to the incident, the Modesto Bee reported.

Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, but it has expanded in recent years. The annual retail mega event began in many stores on Thanksgiving evening — including the Vintage Faire Mall, which opened Thursday night — and will continue into the weekend.

SMH! You will never catch me out there on Black Friday for this reason. No sale is worth going to jail or “catching a body.”

Did you catch any of the Black Friday sales?

Teacher Impregnated By 13-year-old She Had Sex With ‘Almost Daily’ Takes Plea Deal

A former Texas middle school teacher who said she became pregnant after having sex with a 13-year-old student “on almost a daily basis” pleaded guilty this week in a plea-bargain deal.

Alexandria Vera, 24, was facing a felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child, but reached a plea agreement on a lesser charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Vera was an eighth grade English teacher at Stovall Middle School. By pleading guilty, she lowered her possible sentence from a maximum of 25 years to five years, and could potentially be released on probation, according to KTRK. The sentencing is expected to happen next January.

According to court documents obtained by KIAH, Vera met the student during summer school last year. The two started flirting, and by September, they exchanged phone numbers. The student asked Vera if they could hang out. Vera allegedly drove over to his house and picked him up, and they drove around and kissed. The very next day, Vera went back over to the teen’s house when his parents weren’t home and they had sex.

This next part is pretty hard to believe. In the probable cause document, Vera says that she met the boy’s parents at the school’s open house in October. Then, she went over to his house and was introduced as his girlfriend. The parents were allegedly “accepting of their relationship,” even inviting her to family gatherings.

Vera told Aldine ISD police after that she had sex with the teen “on almost a daily basis at her home.” The student would allegedly sleep at her house and then she’d drive him back home in the morning so he could catch the bus to school.

In January of this year Vera became pregnant. She allegedly told the teen’s family about the pregnancy, and they were “supportive and excited” about the baby.

However, Vera claims she ended up having an abortion after CPS unexpectedly showed up at school in February to question her about the relationship. Vera denied any wrongdoing at the time, but police say they found evidence of the relationship on her cell phone.

The school district released a statement saying in part:

“When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave.”

SMH! What is up with all of these freaky ass teachers?! Another waste of a brain!
