Via BAY OF ISLANDS, NEW ZEALAND (TVNZ) – One man’s visit to New Zealand’s Bay of islands ended with an unusual discovery.

James Beuvink travels to the Bay of Islands every summer for a snorkeling trip.

But this year’s trip resulted in him seeing something new to him, a fish with legs. The curious creature is a frogfish, a type of anglerfish, and is an unusual sight in New Zealand.

The fish can not only walk but also possesses a strong bite that’s quite quick. Its jaws’ speed is compared to that of a 22-caliber bullet.

While the fish are not strong swimmers, scientist Andrew Stewart says the fish likely arrived in New Zealand waters as a result of being pushed down from the tropics during storms.

Dr Phil Sued By Ex-Employee Who Claims She Was Held Hostage

Leah Rothman claims in her lawsuit she was ordered in on her day off, along with 300 other employees, where she says everyone gathered in a room and then Phil ordered the doors locked. She claims he said someone had leaked internal info to the media, and he had contacted the “Feds” because the info was transmitted “over state lines.”

Rothman claims Phil said, “If you f*** with me, I’ll f*** with you” and used other profanities in the meeting.

The employee says she began “experiencing emotional distress from the verbal assault of Dr. Phil which was magnified by the confined space …” She says it amounted to false imprisonment.

And Rothman says, she “saw cue cards in Dr. Phil’s hands” from which he read.

She says Phil and the other brass already knew the source of the leak, but they wanted to make a point.

And she claims, the Executive in Charge of Production told her Phil “got joy out of the process and in scaring his employees.”

Rothman goes on to say the whole thing made her a nervous wreck and she had to quit … and now claims it was “constructive termination.”

TMZ reached out to Dr. Phil’s spokesperson, who declined comment.

Young Thieves Steal Atlanta Pastor’s Car And Money From Church

Rev. Hebrew McDonald said he and some of the members were cleaning up after a dinner, when two young people came in. In the surveillance video Rev. McDonald says one appears to be 16 or 17 years old. He says the other one, who acted as the look out, appeared to be only 10 or 11 years old.

The preacher’s wife, Christine, says her purse was on a table in the Fellowship Hall. She said someone went into her purse, took the money out of her wallet, and then took the car keys. The keys went to her husband’s 2011 Hyundai Equus that was in the parking lot.

They came into the Lord’s house and came in here and stole stuff out of the Lord’s house and then they stole the pastor’s car. So they’re going to get a double dose,” said Mrs. McDonald.

Rev. McDonald has been a preacher for more than 40 years. He said he’s mentored hundreds of children over the years. He said it’s sad to see these young kids going down the wrong path.

“If they don’t stop they’re going to go in someone’s house, they’re going to steal from them, they’re going to carjack someone, and ultimately they’re either going to kill somebody or get killed,” said Rev. McDonald.
