Netflix Stand Up Special Starring Katt Williams Debuts Live

Comedian and actor Katt Williams broke the internet with his candidly explosive interview with Club Shay Shay hosted by former professional footballer turned podcaster Shannon Sharpe at the beginning of 2024.

The interview was so raw and real that it set a new tone motivating the world to speak truths, no matter how offensive or gruesome those truths may be. It was a moment of liberation — a cultural reset.

The success of the interview which brought in over 5 million views on YouTube, placed the spotlight back on Williams leaving fans salivating for more. In true Virgo fashion, Williams had been off the radar for a wile. He is known to step away and take breaks and hiatuses from the limelight al a Beyoncé style.

Well luckily for us, he is woke and back with his own Netflix stand up show which debuted live from Inglewood California and it did not disappoint.

WATCH: “MADOFF: The Monster on Wall Street” Trailer on Netflix

“What profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul?”

Today was a Netflix and chill kind of day so I caught up on this riveting limited series about disgraced Wall Street financier Bernie Madoff.

The three part documentary throughly chronicled Madoff’s early life leading up to him becoming one of Wall Street’s richest investors known for running the largest known Ponzi scheme in history, worth an estimated $65 billion.

The fallout from Madoff’s financial fraud crimes was beyond catastrophic, not only for his innocent victims — most of whom lost their entire life savings, but for his own family. Madoff recruited his two sons and his brother to work alongside him in the business but they all denied knowing about the fraud. His sons would eventually be responsible for turning him into authorities.

In the end both his sons died. One son committed suicide and the other son died of cancer shortly after his father’s conviction.
