Paris Massacre: Woman Escapes Death After Attacker’s Rifle Misfires

Via Guns.com– What started out as a seemingly typical Friday night at a Paris cafe quickly turned to unexplainable mayhem and the chilling, life-changing moments were captured on the cafe’s security cameras.

One of the terrorists responsible for the murder of 129 people and serious injuries of hundreds more, including about 100 of which are considered critical, was clearly seen in the video walking in front of the cafe, spraying bullets and randomly killing people.

But in addition to the sheer savagery of the shooter, the video also shows one woman who is extremely lucky to be alive after the terrorist’s rifle misfired as he held the gun to her head and attempted – unsuccessfully – to pull the trigger.

9 Yr Old Chicago Boy Body Found In Alley; Possible Gang Retaliation

There is a $20,000 reward in the murder of a 9-year-old on the city’s south side.

According to ABC Reports

Police investigating the fatal shooting of 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee in a South Side alley believe that the boy was targeted as part of an ongoing gang feud involving his relatives.

Police said they believe the child’s father has information about the possible retaliation, but is not being forthcoming.

Meanwhile, Tyshawn’s mother, Karla Lee, has made tearful public pleas for help in solving her son’s murder.

Police are still unclear about a motive and have not ruled out retaliation. His family said he was a great kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A $20,000 reward, raised by community groups, is offered for information leading to an arrest in the shooting.

Tyshawn was fatally shot in an alley near his grandmother’s home in the 8000-block of South Damen Avenue in the city’s Gresham neighborhood around 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Tyshawn’s basketball was found next to his dead body. Family members said he loved basketball and brought his ball everywhere he went.

Police said an unknown number of people were gathered in the alley when an argument led to gunfire. Tyshawn was shot several times in the upper body, including in the head and back.

An autopsy Tuesday determined that the boy died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Tyshawn’s mother set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to pay for her son’s funeral.

What a horrifying and heartbreaking story. I remember a time when women & kids were off limits. Boy have times changed.

Rest in peace to this beautiful child. My heart truly goes out to the mother of this young man.

We must stop gang violence.

Maryland Man Murders Transgender Woman For ‘Embarrassing’ Him In Front Of Friends

Via CBS News–Police say 20-year-old Rico LeBlond shot and killed Zella Ziona, whose legal name was DeAndre Smith, on Oct. 15, because Ziona “began acting flamboyantly towards LeBlond and greatly embarrassed Leblond in front of his peers,” according to charging documents obtained by CBS affiliate WUSA.Investigators wrote in the document that the suspect and victim has been engaged in a “simmering dispute that had been escalating” as a result of their friendship becoming public.

LeBlond is suspected of shooting Ziona multiple times in the head and groin.

Police are considering hate crime charges against LeBlond, who is already facing a first degree murder charge.

But the victim’s family tells WUSA that they’re already convinced the motive was hate.

“I do believe in my heart that this was a hate crime,” said Kalany Thomas, Ziona’s aunt.

Kalany Thomas and Sade Thomas, a cousin of the victim, both told WUSA that Ziona previously had trouble with people because she was a transgender woman.

“I just want to know why?” Said Sade Thomas. “Why did you take such a beautiful, amazing soul like that and he was never the type of person to hate you or do anything to you?”

Twice as many transgender or gender nonconforming people have been killed in the United States this year compared to last year, according to statistics gathered by the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs, an advocacy group.
