During the early hours of April 26, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot up in Atlanta. The shooting occurred around 3 am on I-285 near I-75 after a performance at Compound.
As we previously reported, an arrest warrant was issued on May 21 for an ATL resident named Jimmy Carlton Winfrey. At a glance, nothing seems too outlandish, right?
Well, TMZis now reporting that Winfrey—who police say was trying to gain status within the Blood gang by “committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist”—used to be the road manager of Lil Wayne’s current rap enemy: Young Thug.
Thugger and Wayne have been going at it over the past few weeks, primarily regarding the title of Thug’s most recent project. Originally titled Carter 6…
A one-time convicted murderer and Detroit drug kingpin Frank Usher is back in handcuffs.
Frank Lee Usher got a life sentence for murdering and beheading three people back in the 1980s, but he was a free man ever since a successful appeal in 1994 – until now.
On Thursday morning, Usher’s Southfield home was raided, accused of selling heroin to undercover federal agents.
Police once believed he may have been involved in 15 murders but he was convicted of three. He was also previously convicted of aggravated assault and a felon in possession of a firearm.
Usher was sent to Jackson Prison, sentenced to life for a triple murder in 1979 that shocked the city. Two men and a woman were shot multiple times, beheaded with their hands cut off at the Federated Democratic Club on the east side.
Usher was one of five charged with the murders. After serving 15 years he had his sentence overturned on appeal by a technicality.
Investigators say Usher sells heroin with another suspect at a second house on St. Aubin and E. McNichols.
FOX 2 had the only cameras rolling as ATF agents and Wayne County deputies take Usher into custody.
Usher told a judge that he is retired from a restaurant position since 2002. Prosecutors say he is able to pay for a large residence on Webster near Southfield and 12 Mile.
Agents seized Usher’s black Ford F-150 truck while at the same time the house was being raided on St. Aubin and three other suspects taken into custody.
Some who live near the drug house say that it has been a source of danger and fear.
“Yeah, I wish they could get rid of all of them,” said a neighbor. “We’ve got kids around here.”
No bond was given for Usher, 71, whose past convictions are being reviewed.
He will be held in Wayne County Jail until a possible arraignment Friday in court.
MD substitute teacher caught on tape hitting students with a belt.
A male substitute teacher in Maryland was seen on camera “taking it back to the old school” and striking misbehaved students with a good old fashioned leather belt.
Now everyone knows I am an advocate for the “old school” way of doing things, but this teacher had to have known that in today’s cop calling new age times, hitting students with a belt was a.) not appropriate b.) potential child endangerment or battery charges (among other charges). I am sure the parents of these kids were ready to fight livid.
Do I think this teacher handled disciplinary action in the most appropriate way? NO! But I must admit when I saw the video I chuckled a little on the inside.
Where I am from a little belt whooping “aint” never hurt nobody, but I digress.

A substitute teacher in Prince George’s County, Maryland, is under fire after a shocking video surfaced that appears to show him striking students with a belt.
According to WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C., the incident happened May 15 at Gwynn Park Middle School in Brandywine. The video shows a man hitting students with an object as children scream and laugh in the background.
The school district, which has not provided the name of the teacher, issued the following statement to WTTG:
“On Friday, May 15, a substitute teacher used improper actions to discipline students while in one of our classes at Gwynn Park Middle School. The substitute teacher has been removed from the classroom and the matter has been referred to the appropriate law enforcement agencies. Prince George’s County Public Schools does not condone this type of behavior and it is not representative of the level of professionalism and respectful conduct of the team at the school.
