The illegal street drag racing scene popped up and took over the streets of Atlanta. Literally.
Large crowds gather to spectate as souped up Chargers and other muscle cars stop traffic by doing donuts and burning tires in some of Atlanta’s busiest intersections — ‘Fast and Furious’ style.
In the video below, a large crowd took over Glen Iris & North Ave in Downtown Atlanta. Most of the meetups occur late Saturday night into early Sunday morning causing horror to those who live or commute through the areas. Residents have demanded the city do something about the situation.
It is believed the events are promoted on social media which draws crowds of hundreds of people.
According to Atlanta’s FOX 5 News — Cars were doing donuts, people were dancing and a popular social media influencer came out. Some people who were there say this is just a glimpse at what’s to come this summer.
