I haven’t really been keeping up with Donald Trump since his White House departure. Last I heard he was planning to run for President again in the 2024 election. Other than the normal lawsuits and investigations, I haven’t really followed his latest.

Among one of the many lawsuits was one filed by American journalist E. Jean Carroll. Carroll filed a second lawsuit against Trump in 2022, alleging battery and defamation, after New York enacted the Adult Survivors Act, which allows adult survivors of sexual violence to sue over attacks that occurred decades ago.

On Tuesday, May 9, 2023, a jury awarded Carroll nearly $5 million. The jury found that Trump should pay nearly $3 million in damages to Carroll for successfully proving her defamation claim against him and about $2 million for her civil battery claim. Carroll accused Trump of raping her in the dressing room at Bergdof Goodman department store and denied it this ruining her reputation. The rape would have allegedly happened around 1995 or 1996.

It’s important to remember that this was not a criminal trial. In a civil suit like Carroll’s, the jury had to determine whether Carroll’s legal team proved that Trump committed battery against Carroll by a preponderance of the evidence.

Fox has just released the full deposition of the case. In the deposition leading up to the trial, The Donald seems rather lackadaisical and uninterested in defending himself against what he calls “made up” & “fake” allegations. He repeatedly denied knowing the victim & said she wouldn’t have been “his type” anyways.

At one point he was shown a throwback pic of Carroll in the late 1980’s, the ex pres mistook her for being his ex wife Marla Maples. (17:54 mark). To see the photo click here. Trump also appears to not recognize then wife Ivanna, who was also in the photo.

One thing about The Donald is he is going to stand up in the paint about his beliefs. —Win lose or draw, and he hates to lose.

He has since released a statement further denying the allegations and saying the jury was “Anti-Trump”, as well as the “Clinton appointed” judge.

Trump says the whole case is fake news and a political witch hunt against him because of his plan to re-run for President. Despite photos he still claims to not even know the victim and is planning to appeal the case.

Check out the deposition video below. It’s actually quite entertaining and features a clip of the infamous “grab em by the p*ssy” reference which he refers to as locker room talk.
