Sadly, being robbed/murdered is one of those horrifying stigmas that comes along with publicly winning large sums of money.
This young man was only 20 years old and amazingly won almost a half million dollars from the GA lottery! Unbelievable!
Even in today’s strange current events that’s almost unheard of and that kind of cash most likely gained him lots of newfound faux “friends.” A half million will certainly put a hefty target on any person’s back–especially a 20 year old. Honestly, anybody could be responsible for his demise.
Hopefully he had someone help him put the bulk of the money in safe keepings for loved ones. What a sad story. As the old hood saying goes, “Money Breeds Jealousy and Envy.”

A Georgia man who recently won nearly half-a-million dollars in the lottery was gunned down Thursday night in a home invasion robbery.
Craigory Burch, Jr., 20, was found dead at a residence in Fitzgerald, GA.
Burch won $434,272 playing the Georgia Fantasy 5 jackpot in November, 2015, according to 13WMAZ.
Burch told the news outlet after he won:
“My right eye and hand had jumped for the past two weeks, I knew that I would come into money.”
On the night of his murder, CBS News reports that he had begged home invaders not to kill him in front of his family, but the men killed him anyway.
Burch and his girlfriend and others were at a home when a shotgun blast blew open the door and three masked, armed men ran in, the girlfriend, Jasmine Hendricks said.
“When they came in, he said, ‘don’t do it bro. Don’t do it in front of my kids. Please don’t do it in front of my kids and old lady. Please don’t do that bro. Please don’t. I’ll give you my bank card.”
Burch’s girlfriend, Jasmine Hendricks, ran for help.
But when Burch tossed his pants to the robbers, and they could not find his wallet, they shot him dead and then scampered away.
Friends of Burch said that he had recently used some of his winnings to buy Christmas presents for people in need.
