Undercover Agent Infiltrates the Infamous Hells Angels Biker Gang

Here’s a new crime doc series to binge watch.

Being a crime journalist means that I’m intrigued by all different facets of criminal activity and thanks to this show, outlaw biker gangs are now my newest obsession.

In the new A&E docuseries, former members, leaders and even victims of the badass Hells Angels brotherhood including former undercover agent Jay Dobyns who infiltrated the notorious gang, examine the history of the group of outlaws to uncover the organization’s darkest secrets.

In the end the government chose to end Operation Black Biscuit which centered around their infiltration of the gang before Dobyns got his “patch”. In the biker world get patched is equivalent to being made in the mob. It’s a symbol of status in the outlaw biker underworld.

Dobyns went so deep into the motorcycle gang lifestyle that the government felt it was too dangerous of a liability to continue as they could no longer keep a handle on him or the operation.

Dobyns said he had no choice but to go full throttle gangster or risk getting killed if his cover was ever blown and it was revealed he was a cop.
