Mike Pence’s Plane Skids Off Rainy Runway At LaGuardia Airport

A plane carrying Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence skidded off a runway Thursday night as it landed at LaGuardia Airport in New York. There were no reported injuries.

According to KTLA:

The press pool in the back of the aircraft, a Boeing 737-700 chartered from Eastern Airlines that was painted with the campaign’s logo, could feel the plane fishtailing as it touched down and sliding off the runway before coming to a very sharp halt in the grass off the side of the runway.

Once the plane came to a full stop, the Indiana governor walked to the back of the plane to check on the press. As everyone on board deplaned, Pence could be seen speaking with emergency responders.

A spokesman for Pence said the vice presidential nominee would retire to his hotel for the evening, canceling an appearance at a closed-door fundraiser that had been scheduled in Trump Tower. He called into the event instead, a senior Pence aide said.

Indiana Man Kills Girlfriend After She Declined to Marry Him

An Indiana man is facing a murder charge after allegedly admitting to killing his girlfriend after she declined his hand in marriage.

According to KTLA:

Jason Eaton, 43, walked into the Greensburg Police Department with a woman and asked to talk to an officer, according to KTLA sister station WXIN in Indianapolis. He told the officer that he had killed his girlfriend, later identified as Wendy Sabatini.

Officers were sent to their Greensburg home where Sabatini’s son, who thought his mother was at work, let them in. He had just arrived home from a school-related internship.

Sabatini’s body was found in a bedroom. Police said she died of an apparent gunshot wound to her head. A firearm was found in the bedroom.

Eaton was detained at the police station. He spoke with officers and said he approached her in the bedroom with an engagement ring to ask her to marry him, according to police.

She declined before he was able to ask, they said.

Eaton said he then retrieved the gun from a nightstand and shot her in the head from behind, according to police.

He eventually left the home and went to the home of the woman who accompanied him to the police department, authorities said. He allegedly told her he “messed up” and said he thought he killed Sabatini.

In addition to the murder charge, Eaton faces a firearm sentencing enhancement.

Sad and scary! Sounds like the girlfriend wasn’t going to make it alive either way with this guy. Had she married him, would she have eventually met with the same fate?

Drunk Female Texas Student Taking Topless Snapchat Pic Crashes Her Car Into Police

A Texas A&M chick told the cops she was taking a topless Snapchat selfie for her boyfriend moments before her SUV slammed into the back of a parked police car.

According to KTLA:

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on East Villa Maria Road in Bryan, Texas.

Police Officer John Sartell approached the vehicle to find the driver, 20-year-old Miranda Kay Rader, wearing an unclasped bra, attempting to put her shirt on, according to KBTX.

There was also an open bottle of wine in the center console cupholder, police say.

When Officer Sartell asked her why she was not dressed, the woman told him she was “taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at a red light.”

Rader was charged with DWI with an open container and was also issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
