From the Desk of Brandy Cavalli: Dear Social Media Crime Bloggers

I’m not here to knock anybody. But let’s be honest—when you’re outspoken, you’re gonna catch your share of trash talk.

The difference is, I’m not just somebody running a crime page from a phone.

I BLOG. I WRITE. I OWN MY OWN SITE.

And after years of networking, building relationships, and learning from some of the REAL crime writers, authors, television producers, and storytellers in this game, I’m proud to officially say I’ve become a featured writer on other crime-based platforms, contributed to book blurbs, and hell—I’ve even consulted on a gangster’s documentary.

So I’ve never knocked the social-media crime bloggers. Never.

But for some reason, some of them seem to have plenty to say about me.

Maybe they’re judging me strictly by what they see on social media. And that’s cool.

But social media ain’t my whole career.

I actually have a REAL career. I get a different kind of check. I don’t have all day to chase algorithms, engagement, and pennies from views. My writing income is rather passive. Side note: I’m still getting paid off BMF stories from years ago. For the record, I can attest that the world loves BMF. Keep clicking. Maybe one day I’ll get a Meech / Southwest Tee interview. For the culture.

Anyway. So no—I’m not making Facebook money YET.

And baby…

YET is the operative word.

Because while everybody is watching timelines, I’m building something big.

Thanks to my dope ass hustlers, ThePenHustler.com is worldwide.

And since we wanna compare numbers, let’s compare the right ones.

I’m not building my empire around a Facebook algorithm.

I’m coming for GOOGLE’s money.

I’m not in a race with social-media bloggers.

I’m building a platform. Brick by brick and stick by stick.

And when the traffic catches up with the vision?

Just remember—the world watched the build from the beginning. From 1 view to over 100K views a month. From East to West.
