Hey Hustlers!
Beware of this company Kim’s Boutique.
Click here for their Facebook page.
I came across this furrier company Kim’s Boutique on Facebook advertising a going out of business sale on various fur coats, accessories & etc. The first red flag should have been the prices the company was advertising these coats for. I’m almost ashamed I fell for the scam but I believed the going out of business spill.
Having been scammed by another “online boutique” in the past, I felt a little more comfortable that the coats were being sold via the company’s website. Here is the link. They were also assuring buyers could come to the boutique location in Plano, Texas. I felt the company must have been legit. Umm, not so much.

Because I am based in Atlanta, I ordered the coats and received the order summary confirmation and later an email of the tracking. Wonderful! — except the second red flag should been that the tracking was provided in Chinese — remember the company claims to be based in Texas.
Assuming due to the quantity I ordered and knowing how wholesale shipping works, I immediately contacted the company via email and requested the tracking be sent in English. The company responded and advised that once the package ships the tracking will be updated. Never happened. I was also assured I would receive the package within 15 business days, this also never happened.
Eventually I rechecked the tracking on around the 17th day (I actually almost forgot about the order it had been so long) and the tracking showed the package was “Delivered” the previous day.
Now folks I am a homebody. I work and play from home and I also have a personal relationship with my mail carrier so I know this delivery never happened. I also have ring cameras so I know for certain this delivery never happened. I reached back out to the company and advised them that I never received the package despite the package showing delivered. I was provided an apology for the confusion and more run around. I was also advised take time out of my day and to go to the post office in attempt to retrieve it or request a “parcel missed” letter.
I spoke to my carrier and local office and was advised there is no such package available for delivery to my address. Remember I never got updated tracking so I have no idea who is even supposed to deliver the package. Without a USPS tracking number the post office can’t help. Now I have the feeling I have officially been scammed and it sucks. I really wanted those damn coats!
I have requested a full refund from Kim’s Boutique and of course — more runaround. Thankfully I’ve been a loyal customer of my banking institution for over 15 years so I am in the process of filing a claim for reimbursement but I wanted to share my experience with this fur company.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! According to the website the company appears to be still operating. Remember their whole premise for the “SALE” was because they were going out of business. SCAM SCAM SCAM!
Bottom line stay away from these people, the business does not appear to be on the up and ups. I should have remembered the old adage: if something seems too good to be true — it probably is.
If you have also been scammed by this company please contact the Better Business Bureau and file a formal complaint. Here is the website: BBB.org . The BBB is not a government agency but they will at least attempt to negotiate on your behalf. More importantly the report will remain a stain on file for others the research about this company. The only way to stop this kind of schemery is to spread the word.
