Fox 5 ATLANTA — It was a scene hard to miss by many Friday afternoon commuters in Buckhead as police held about nine people in handcuffs in the parking lot of a busy bank.
It happened at the Wells Fargo on the corner of Peachtree Drive and Piedmont Road. Atlanta Police said officers were requested at the location by the bank manager.
A witness said several people jumped out of an SUV when police arrived. Officers said they placed them in handcuffs while they investigated. Ultimately, police found no crime had been committed and let them all go.
“What’s wrong with having $200,000?” It makes me feel like I can’t be young, black, and rich.”
