A witness today testified at the Tivoli Enquiry that during Christopher Dudus Coke’s rule of the Tivoli Gardens community, no gang feuds could take place.
The woman painted a picture of a peaceful area where no shooting occurred.
According to her, Tivoli Gardens was like any other community where if somebody stole they would be caught and if somebody committed a rape they would “get their a** whipped”.
She pointed to a case in St Elizabeth where a police officer went to rob a bank customer, got caught and was beaten.
Her comments came during a cross-examination from attorney Valerie Neita-Robertson, one of the lawyers for the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Asked if she was loyal to Coke, she said she was loyal only to God and her children.
