Crying Charlottesville White Nationalist Turns Himself Into The Cops

The sobbing “white nationalist” who has been the running joke of social media ever since a video of him completely shook at the prospect of being arrested for his hate antics during the Charlottesville riot has turned himself into the cops.

NY Times –Christopher Cantwell, 36, was charged with two felony counts of illegal use of tear gas and one felony count of malicious bodily injury by means of a caustic substance. A preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 12.

Cantwell, a self-described white nationalist, emerged as a high-profile activist for the so-called alt-right after being featured in a Vice News documentary that has been viewed more than 44 million times since it was broadcast on Aug. 14.

In it, Cantwell is shown calling for an “ethno-state” and saying that the death of the woman, Heather D. Heyer, was justified. “I think that a lot more people are going to die before we’re done here,” he added.

Cantwell posted a video on Aug. 12 in which he choked back tears and was widely mocked by his critics for appearing scared of being arrested.

In interviews last week, he said that he believed that any charges he would face would be connected to an episode he said was photographed by a journalist that showed him “pepper-spraying a guy straight in his face as he’s coming toward me.”

“I thought that spraying that guy was the least damaging thing I could do,” he said. “In my left hand I had a flashlight. My other option, other than the pepper spray, was to break this guy’s teeth. O.K.? And I didn’t want to do that. I just wanted him to not hurt me. I don’t think I did anything wrong,’’ he said, “and I’m looking forward to my day in court.”

White Supremacist On Death Row Cries In Final Interview Before Execution

Mirror UK –A white supremacist convicted of committing two ‘racially motivated’ murders sobbed his way through his final interview hours before he is due to be killed .

Mark Asay, gunned down a black man and a second victim in Jacksonville 1987, and will be executed for the crimes later this evening.

Authorities will use a lethal cocktail containing a drug never used before for the execution, which will make the 53-year-old the first white man in Florida to be put to death for killing a black person.

Asay, who has a number of ‘white power’ and swastika tattoos, has been on death row since he was convicted of a pair of racially motivated murders just minutes apart.

In his final interview with News4Jax, he becomes emotional, telling the interviewer he is not a racist and only committed one of the murders.

He says he got his racist tattoos when he was 19 in prison because he wanted to “fit in” and “keep safe” – but has since had most of them covered up or “burnt off”.

Asay denied he is a white supremacist, saying: “Never have been, I’ve had African American friends all my life.”

The interviewer asks him if there’s anything he wants to say and the criminal can be seen to noticeably sob as he tells him: “Well, really, just that I’m sorry and things just got out of control.”

Asay is scheduled to be executed at 6pm on Thursday, using a triple-drug lethal injection.

It will be Florida’s first execution in more than 19 months since a US Supreme Court ruling struck down the state’s death-penalty sentencing system.

Asay’s execution was permitted to proceed after the law was changed.

He was 23 when he was convicted in 1988 of the murders of Robert Booker, 34, and Robert McDowell, 26.

Asay shot Mr Booker, who was black, after racially abusing him, and then killed Mr McDowell, who was mixed race and dressed as a woman, after agreeing to pay him for oral sex and discovering that he was a man.
