Mexican Man Denied U.S. Visa Because Of Tattoos

Via Bossip– Ruben Zamora, a Mexican man who lived in the U.S. since he was 8 years-old, left the country last summer and has yet to return because of a tattoo he got in his teens.

The American Consulate said he has gang tattoos — and, therefore, was part of a criminal enterprise according to The NY Daily News.

Zamora, who has an American wife and 2 children thought he was doing the right thing by going to Mexico and applying for a visa but his plan backfired.
Here is what Zamora’s wife, Vanessa Ruiz had to say to The NY Daily News:

Ruiz said her husband was being condemned because of a youthful mistake.

Zamora got the tattoos when he was a teen living in Queens — and the symbols weren’t gang-related back then.

“He and his friends . . . thought that tattoo looked cool and they got it,” said Carr.

The group later got involved in gang activity, but Zamora was no longer hanging with them, the lawyer said.

“The fact is there’s no flexibility to actually look at his record and say, ‘Look, there’s been no arrests in the United States for him being in gangs,” she said. “There’s no flexibility in the law.”

For Ruiz, the thought of life without her husband is devastating — financially and emotionally.

“He was very responsible. He used to pay all the bills . . . I (am) so frustrated because I had to pay all these bills. I was going to lose my apartment. I had to go to welfare to see if they could help in some way,” said Ruiz, who works part-time in the call center at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.

Here’s how much he’s paying out.

Jared Fogle, the former Subway pitchman who plead guilty to sex acts with minors and distributing child pornography, has paid 10 of his 14 victims $1 million total in restitution.

The New York Times reported Friday that Fogle will pay the last four victims $100,000 each ahead of his sentencing, which is scheduled for Nov. 19, according to federal prosecutor Steven DeBrota in an interview with the Times.

DeBrota told the publication that the money to victims could be used for them to receive counseling. He also said one is homeless.

Fogle is known for losing 200 pounds through a diet involving eating Subway sandwiches. The fast food chain stopped working with Fogle in August after suspending its relationship with him in July.

Russell Taylor, who formerly was director of The Jared Foundation, Fogle’s organization aimed at cutting down childhood obesity, was arrested in May for producing child pornography.

Fogle is facing up to 12 years in federal prison.

Detroit Police Find Containers Of Fetus Parts Inside Car Of Illegal Abortionist

Michigan police have found to more than a dozen containers of aborted fetus parts inside the trunk of an OBGYN’s car.

Via Breaking 911 News:

Dr. Michael Roth was stopped by police in Michigan after an alleged collision with a disabled man when they made the gruesome discovery.

Officers, who also found a strong anesthetic in the back of Roth’s vehicle, raided his home and medical practice on Tuesday amid claims he is suspected of carrying out illegal abortions.

Roth, who is yet to be charged with an offence, was stopped by police two weeks ago after allegedly hitting a 32-year-old disabled man in the town of Novi, not far from his practice.

The doctor’s car was impounded after officers found what appeared to be fetal tissue and the painkiller fentanyl inside 13 small bottles and another larger one.

The state attorney general’s office suspects Roth of carrying out illegal abortions.

Roth is also claimed to have at least six malpractice complaints against his name between 1988 and 2015. Some are reported to claim that botched home abortions carried out by the gynecologist led to complications.
