Rap Star Lil Kim Connects With Biggie Through a Medium

In today’s side eye news –self proclaimed Hollywood medium, Tyler Henry, claims to make contact with rap queen Lil’ Kim’s late ‘soulmate’ –Biggie.

For those living on Mars, Christopher ‘Notorious Big/Biggie’ Wallace was a Brooklyn born rapper who has consistently been ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time. He also founded the group Junior M.A.F.I.A. in which Lil’ Kim became the breakout international rap star. During the time, Biggie and Kim were also carrying on a torrid love affair while Biggie was married to soul singer, Faith Evans. Kim always claimed Biggie as her own man, despite his nuptials to another woman.

Prior to his death, Biggie was heavily involved in the growing East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud with rapper Tupac Shakur and Death Row records.

On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His shooter is still unknown.

Personally, I don’t know how to feel about mediums because I’ve never spoken to one, but I do think this guy was privy to the same information that WE ALL were about Kim & Big’s “situationship.” I mean I didn’t feel like he stated any facts that we didn’t already know but whatever. Let the guy work.

Check out these clips, in the second clip Henry claims to have connected with Kim’s grandmother who died of a heart condition. Kim believes him.

What do you think? Are mediums real or real phony?

Compton legend Eric “Eazy E” Wright’s widow is suing his son for the rights over the name of his company, Ruthless Records.

Eric “Lil Eazy” Wright Jr. is the oldest son of the rap pioneer.

Ruthless Records was founded by Eazy-E , Jerry Heller and Dr. Dre. in Compton, California in 1986. The label’s acts over the years have earned RIAA certifications of Platinum or higher on 15 of its released albums, including releases by N.W.A, Eazy-E, MC Ren, The D.O.C., Michel’le, J.J.Fad and Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony.

According to Bossip:

In a lawsuit filed by the widow of Eazy-E, Tomika Wright is looking to stop Eazy’s son, Eric Darnell Wright, from using the name “Ruthless” to sell his record label. According to The Jasmine Brand, she filed a federal trademark infringement suit against him this week. In the suit, she alleges that Eric and his business partner, Arnold White, posted a website called ruthlessrecordsinc.com.

She claims that they are using the site to do business as Ruthless Records. The site is described the company as “a full service marketing and business strategies firm, specializing in the music and entertainment industry. Our goal is to bring new music to life by inspiring a culture of creative artists”.

Tomika is not here for it. Eazy-E founded Ruthless Records in 1986 and she has owned the company since Eazy-E’s death.

Wife of Las Vegas sports handicapper, Frank Rosenthal, their life story was the focus of a novel, Casino, by author Nicholas Pileggi, and in the subsequent 1995 movie by the same name; her movie role was played by actress Sharon Stone. Born Geraldine “Geri” McGee, she met Anthony Spilotro, the best friend of Frank Rosenthal, at a gambling convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she began an affair with him. She made her living as a “chip girl” (a good looking woman who hustled gamblers for a chip or two in exchange for temporary companionship) and as a part time topless dancer and occasional prostitute, hanging around the high rolling gamblers in the casinos, where she would move from gambler to gambler. Frank Rosenthal was a brilliant Chicago bookie and odds maker who made millions for the mafia, and was then sent to Las Vegas to recruit the casinos there for organized crime. Rosenthal brought with him his childhood friend and mafia muscleman, Anthony Spilotro, who introduced him to Geri, and soon Frank and Geri were a couple. Frank Rosenthal would soon make the Stardust into one of the leading sports gambling centers in Las Vegas , but on October 4, 1982, an attempt was made on his life by placing a bomb underneath his car. While the bombing attempt failed to kill him, it did bring government and media attention to Frank’s activities. The government quickly gathered sufficient evidence on him to tie him to organized crime, and with that information, the Nevada Gaming Commission ordered Rosenthal to remain out of casinos for the rest of his life. In the meantime, Frank had married Geri and they had two children. To compound Frank’s problems, Geri had become an alcoholic and drug abuser, and was engaging in numerous affairs, including resuming the one with Frank’s best friend Tony Spilotro. Their activities read like a Hollywood movie script, which it ironically became after their deaths. Shortly after Geri’s death, rumors spoke of Frank having her murdered, and he spent up to $50,000 to have an autopsy performed, in which the coroner ruled that she died from an accidental drug overdose of cocaine, valium and whiskey. In spite of her numerous affairs and other problems, she was considered a loving mother to her children. (bio by: Kit and Morgan Benson)
