The Cartel Theory Raised In OJ Simpson Trial

On the latest episode of FX’s American Crime Story, Johnnie Cochran and O.J. Simpson’s defense team mentioned a Colombian drug cartel theory in court.
According to Cochran, the cartel was responsible for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. He also mentioned a technique used by the drug dealers called the Colombian Necktie — which, under any circumstances, you should not Google. The drug cartel theory revolved around Faye Resnick and her reported drug use prior to the time of the murders. The theory was just that — a theory — but has Resnick ever spoken out about it?

In The People v. O.J. Simpson, Cochran and the defense team proposed a “drug theory” as a possible explanation for the murders.

A New York Times article published during the trial detailed what Cochran proposed. According to him, the murders were not a result of an upset ex-husband – O.J. Simpson – but rather, drug dealers.
The theory was dismissed months later.

According to Judge Ito, the defense was “highly speculative” and the team was not allowed to mention Resnick’s alleged drug use to the jurors. This was a pretty big blow to the defense, since Cochran hoped to bring in Resnick’s then-boyfriend, Christian Reichardt, as a witness.

Rapper Big Sean Launches “Help Flint Kids” Project

After Revolt did their thing in a concert highlighting the crisis, Big Sean took the time to speak with Los Angeles’ 92.3 The Real about what he’s doing to give back to Flint with his Heal Flint Kids project.

Big Sean said of giving back to his local community:

“I believe in Karma, I believe in just being a righteous dude and a good person. It’s always been a major, major part of not just my career, but my upbringing. We used to go the Salvation Army all the time – two to three times a year.

What’s going on in Flint obviously is tragic, it’s not just a natural disaster though, there needs to be some blame placed on the people there who deserve it,” he lamented. “But you know we are stepping in and doing what we can – our goal was to raise $50,000, but now we almost have raised $100,000. And its not just for water, we aren’t just donating water bottles. We are helping kids get the proper care that they need, see the proper doctors.”

This story not only hits home for Big Sean because it happened in his own state, but his mother also suffered at one point in her life from lead poisoning as well.

“My mom actually has experienced lead poisoning to a degree, so we knew how deep it is, and I know the things that my mom went through and it’s real, real painful and real like devastating. We just want to make sure that they get the proper care, proper doctors and proper attention and not just the water bottles – but the water too.”

Famed documentarian and native of Flint, Michael Moore, called Big Sean to congratulate and commend Sean on service to the city of Flint.

Burglar Enters Atlanta Home Through Doggy Door

Ok! First of all, I didn’t know doggy doors still existed, or that people really still have them.

Second of all, you have got to be a skinny mofo to fit through a doggy door.

Third of all, how do you just make yourself at home so easily in someone else’s home? Especially when you are not invited or wanted there?

Join the discussion.

According to Channel 2 Action News (Atlanta)– A burglar decided a dog door would be the perfect way in to an Atlanta home.

Once inside, he helped himself to whatever he could fin, but one of those things he grabbed led police right to him.

Brian, who wanted to remain anonymous, said:

“I cant believe this is happening to me.”

He said he never thought of the swinging dog door as a security threat until now.

Brian wants homeowners to beware of the unusual way a crook got into his place.

“Once we heard his voice and then him enter through doggie door, we knew somebody was in our house.”

He was in the next room when Michael King got on all fours and crawled into his house, leaving the family dog, Tipper, outside.

“I was terrified in my bedroom, underneath my bed. I was able to grab an alarm pad that triggered motion detectors.”

That was enough to trip the alarm which alerts police.

Brian said the crook stole his iPad, iPhone, wallet and other small items that were on the kitchen counter. And he says King didn’t hesitate to make himself at home.

“He kinda went straight for the fridge and grabbed a couple of beers and Red Bull then proceeded through the house.”

Brian said the crook left the same way he came in, but he didn’t get very far.

He used the “Find my iPhone” app to help police catch the man who crawled in to his home.

Brian plans to install a new dog door equipped with a security lock to make sure he’s safe.
