Rap Legend Notorious BIG Inspires New TV Series

According to BOSSIP:

If you never thought you’d see a TV show based around the life of an iconic black rapper, think again.

TBS is working on a scripted T.V. series called Think B.I.G. that will be loosely based on the life of Biggie.

Yep, you read it right. The show is currently in development and will draw from Biggie’s true story of growing up in Brooklyn and trying to make a better life for himself and family at the tender age of 21.

We haven’t gotten wind about the cast or who will be playing the rapper but we certainly hope they choose someone who can get it right. It should be interesting to see what TBS network will do with this storyline.

Will YOU be watching?

Speaking of Biggie, can you believe it’s almost been 20 years since he passed away? In honor of hip hop’s tragic loss, win a chance to get a free copy of the movie ‘Notorious’ on Bluray by entering your email here

I’m Seeing A Co-Worker, Who Is Separated, But He’s Being Distant

I posted this because I had a friend that was going through the exact same scenario with a married man at her job, but the kicker was, SHE WAS MARRIED TOO! I gave her the same advice, girl you’re tripping.

It’s amazing how many women put themselves in these types of situations and then fall in love with the guy. I’m glad I am not the fall easy type of girl. It takes me a looooong time to commit. I’ll keep it that way.

Dear BOSSIP:

Here’s my situation – I started seeing this guy that works in my building. I just broke up with my ex due to cheating, and he (the new guy) is going through something similar, so he says.

His wife cheated on him numerous times with a co-worker. I believe him because he went into detail about how he caught her and how he wants a divorce and she won’t sign, blah blah blah.  Well, after talking with him and going on a few dates we slept together and it was great. Then, he started being distant. He used to text me every morning and when we would make plans he cancels with some last minute notice, not always but mostly.

So, I asked him, “Are you interested in someone else, or in getting back with your wife?” They are legally separated, and I wanted to know because I’m not mistress material. And, he got mad and said I’m accusing him and I should just ask, which I thought I was doing. He said he is friendly with other females in our building.

I know I shouldn’t sh*t where I eat, but it was something about him. He was a gentleman. He didn’t ask for sex right off. And, he kisses me like I’ve never been kissed before. I really like him and he says he likes me and that he wants more, but his actions don’t show it. I have started to let him go. What should I do?  Is he a hoe or did this woman, his wife, mess him up to the point that he’s like “F” every broad?

I’ve asked friends for advice and they said maybe the cookie was too good to him and he wasn’t expecting that. He has told me the sex is amazing, but he’s a guy how many so how many times has he said that is what I’m thinking. I’m too grown for this, and I’m new to dating after 7 years of being with one person. I’m 32 years old. I don’t want my insecurity to block a good man that God will send by thinking the worst. – Unsure and Getting Over Heart Break

Rap Legend Dr. Dre Cuffed And Searched At His Own Home After Trespasser Falsely Accuses Him Of Flashing A Gun

Just in case you thought being a billionaire made one immune to police harassment, the legendary Dr. Dre got a heaping dose of reality at the end of his own driveway on Monday.

A dispute with a passing motorist led to the butthurt driver crying “gun” on the hip-hop mogul, and a gang of cops showing up to his home to handcuff and search him.

According to TMZ:

Dr. Dre got cuffed and patted down by Sheriff’s deputies outside his Malibu home after an alleged road rage dispute over a guy blocking his driveway.

Sources close to Dre tell us the motorist had pulled off PCH and stopped in front of Dre’s crib. We’re told Dre asked him to move, and he did … but cussed at the mogul as he did it. Dre pulled into his driveway, but the other driver kept yelling — so Dre pulled out his phone to record video.

Our Dre sources claim the guy said, “Here we go again, another black guy with a gun.” L.A. County Sheriffs tell us the motorist called 911 to report someone pulled a gun on him.

When deputies responded they put handcuffs on the Doc and searched him. We’re told they found no gun, and let him go. However, the guy insisted on making a citizen’s arrest, which means he filled out a report detailing his allegations.

The Sheriff’s Dept. will forward that to the District Attorney … who will decide whether there’s a case. Dre was not physically arrested by deputies.

SMH! So all someone has to do is place a call to police and say the words “black man” and “gun” and a whopping 6 police squad cars show up.

Not to mention Dr. Dre was on his OWN property and the caller was a trespasser on HIS property but HE (Dr. Dre) gets cuffed and searched. Something is not adding up here but it goes to show that no matter how successful you are, if you’re black then you’re still a target and a “threat”.
