R&B singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura rocked more than the music world when she filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs in early 2024.
Within that lawsuit she alleged sexual, mental and physical abuse at the hands of the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO whom she dated since her teenage years as revealed in her lawsuit.
The backlash for Diddy Combs has been tremendous and the case was closed swiftly with Diddy paying Cassie millions to stop talking and stop the suit from going forward. From what I read in the deposition, there’s no way in hell he could allow any more of those accusations to come out. The allegations were brutal – both literally and figuratively.
Since then Diddy, previously extremely active on social media referring to himself as “Brother Love” spreading “love”, has kept an uncharacteristically low profile minimizing his presence on all platforms and stepping down as the face of various companies his brand is was affiliated with.
There have since been multiple other suits filed by alleged male and female victims. Diddy has denied all other allegations and has vowed to fight back against his accusers, whom his attorneys claim are just looking for a big Cassie style payday — keeping his attorneys very busy (and rich).
Well honey, fast forward until today.
Atlanta’s own— CNN — did a huge one and released surveillance video of Brother Love getting physical and beating the crap out of Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel hallway just like she said he did.
In the video posted below, Cassie attempts to escape Mr. Brother Love in a nearby elevator before he runs out draped in only a hotel towel and punching her, knocking her to the ground. He then kicks her multiple times while she is on the floor and drags her back into the room where the abuse continues with him throwing heavy objects at her.
The video is cruel and brings a gruesome visual to the physical abuse allegations stated in Cassie’s lawsuit.
The video clip does not have audio but it is so abusive and horrific that no audio is needed.
Being a crime journalist, Im rarely fazed as I always see a lot of debauchery but this was a lot to see — even for me. Celebrities and naysayers have flooded social media with their condolences to Cassie.
Domestic violence is a worldwide problem that needs to be prosecuted, exposed and shunned. There’s no excuse to bring violence on someone we claim to love.
Love don’t hurt.
NSFW: Let this serve as a *trigger warning* as the video below is extremely violent.
