9/11: 20 Years Later

It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since 9/11. For me, this day was especially painful because my fiancé had just been murdered two days prior (on my birthday).

I remember hearing the news of the World Trade Center attacks and rushing to the tv to see the actual towers crumble right before my eyes. The feeling of grief & terror is still memorable all these years later.

Thousands of innocent everyday people died and the world ultimately changed overnight. Tensions rose to an all time high and shortly after the US waged war on the Middle East sending the US economy into economic decline and recession.

There are tons of conspiracy theories surrounding this infamous day. Where were you on September 11, 2001? Do you think the “war on terror” has been won? Why or why not?

Leave me a comment & let me know what you think.

  1. I can’t imagine the terror that was happening inside the Twin Towers . The yelling, screaming , crying. Rest In Peace to all that died on 9/11

  2. I was in 1st grade when the Twin Towers collapsed. I remember the day after, watching the 5AM news. Trying to wrap my head around plane crashes, buildings burning, & people jumping from that high up…
